Never mowing without them again

These are awesome. They save your legs, socks and shoes so well that I'll never mow without them again. They also make it easier to kick through tall grass without snagging, and most important they breathe well with the mesh back so you stay cool and can wear shorts. They can still soak up bug spray and inherently guard against hitchhiking bugs. The velcro strap is comfortable and they fit well for me at 6' tall with 18" calves.

To work my own yard is often less than 20 minutes and I don't mind a few abrasions on my legs. My parents have five acres though and when I went to help out there it was just over seven hours of runtime on the weed whacker and even with my sock pulled all of the way up I had hundreds of cuts from small rocks and embedded weeds. it is for this reason that I bought these crazy looking leg guards.
My Dad laughed when I first put them on, but this time was a two-hour run and my legs were totally fine afterward. They have a nice mesh back to keep my legs cool and a closed plastic on the front to keep weed bits and other flying debris out. The very loose fit keeps my legs cool and also works like a net at a batting cage to dissipate impact. I will definitely keep using these.

This product is great! I have wanted to wear shorts all lawn care season but running a string trimmer as much as I do I found pants to be a better option to protect my legs until I found these and purchased them! I wear shorts all the time and then just throw these on when I string trim and remove when I mow, putting on and taking off of the product is smooth and effortless, I wear large ankle height boots and these slide on and off easily. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to stay a little cooler during the day!

I have a lot of thorn bushes on the perimeter of my property. It is hot where I live so I prefer to wear shorts when I use my riding lawnmower to cut the grass. This protective device worked great. I could feel and hear the thorns digging into the leg cover, but nothing got though to to my skin. Very light weight and comfortable. One improvement would be a better and longer Velcro strip to make it easier to take off and take off.
